I'm sure most people have noticed but a lot of the admins for this group no longer use dA much (including myself). I'm hoping there are still people who want to interact with each other, hold challenges, ask questions so if there's anyone interested in taking over this group as an admin don't hesitate to comment on this journal! I still conlang every once and a while but as it goes University life took over.

Help With My Conlang: Riquenian
ey All! I've created a conlang linking English (my native language) with Romance languages and Arabic vocabulary, Ancient Greek, etc.
Puedo hablar Espanol. He estudiado Latin y Griega también.
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me? Personally, I think that it's a beautiful language, acting as an effective bridge between different languages without striving too far from human linguistics.

Dictionary Organization
Hello, everyone. I'm currently interested in creating a dictionary organization tool that is targeted specifically to Conlangers. If you're like me, then you keep your languages simply in a document or excel file, which gets the job done, but not as well as it could. My main goal would be to make the software as user friendly as possible, to allow support for many different alphabets and of course to keep it free and open source!
If there is interest in such a tool, please let me know because I would like to conduct a survey to find out more about Conlangers' needs and how important certain features would be to them.

Hey guys! Long time no see!
If anyone is interested in getting the conlang challenges back up, please send me a message here or on tumblr at starfleetabed.tumblr.com. I'll give you access to the old suggestions files/feedback and help you set up a new journal for the challenges so that the community doesn't have to do without.
I know a lot of people have been interested in starting them again, so if someone is active and up for it you are more than welcome to take over!

It would be awesome to have challenges. I'm new here and I actually have two languages going right now (one's a fictional language and the others an engineered language…). It's awesome to have a Conlang community here on DeviantArt!
